At Pathways at the High School of Commerce, you will be a member of one of three smaller teams; we call these teams “houses.” Your house will be like a family, helping you develop strong relationships with your peers and teachers and also allowing powerful learning to take place. You will travel with the same group of students within these houses during the day.
Small teams foster learning.
You will be assigned to one of three houses in Pathways: the Mandela House, the House Yousafzai, or the Angelou House. The namesakes for these houses — Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, and Maya Angelou — embody the Habits of Mind, or academic and personal skills, that you must have to graduate Pathways and find success in any college or career opportunity.
